T he presentation of this exhibition demonstrates how the Thai way of living is dependent and adaptable to nature. Rice is highly regarded as the source of Thai arts and culture.

The content of the exhibition is divided into 4 parts.


Part 1 : Rice in Thailand
          The rich physical environment of Thailand is suitable for growing rice.

Part 2 : Rice Production in Thailand
         The objective of this exhibition is to illustrate the creative thinking in rice cultivation for making life more comfortable with tools, equipments and technology. This reflects customs and traditions with reference to the traditional Thai beliefs and context.

Part 3 : Rice Culture in Thai Society
          It explains the Thai culture in various aspects : settlement, administration, tradition and language.

Part 4 : Rice and Thai Life
          It illustrates the relationship between rice and Thai life in various aspects. 4.1 Calendar of rice cultivation in the four regions of Thailand through computer 4.2 Model of meal sets in the four regions and food in rites and rituals 4.3 Transparent pictures on problems and problems-solving of Thai farmers and computer on the same topic 4.4 Videotape entitled “Rice is life”
