The Thai Life Permanent Exhibition Hall is a
venue for displaying the history of the Thai people and different aspects of
Thai culture, as developed from pre-historic times up to the present. The
permanent exhibition is presented under five topices:
1. The Evolution of the Thai Nation
2. Rice and Thai Way of Life
3. Thai Language and Literature
4. Thailand and the World
5. Heroic Deeds and Major Events in Thai History
The overall
objective of the permanent exhibition is to preserve, promote, and disseminate
information relating to arts, culture and religion. An extra curriculum of the
Thai history and culture, it welcomes, in particular, students and teachers from
all levels of education. However, it should benefit not only Thai school
children and students, but also the general public and foreign visitors.
The THAI
LIFE PERMANENT EXHIBITION HALL is
displayed in the area of 1,200 square meters. The presentation methods of the
exhibition include both static and dynamic techniques. Beautiful art works,
modern audio-visual technology such as computers, videotapes, multi-vision
slides, sound and lighting effects are ultilized to give the exhibition an
inventive, up-to-date character, The audiences will learn and become impressed
with the exhibition.
The permanent
exhibition is presented under five topics as The Evolution of the Thai Nation,
Rice and Thai way of Life, Thai Language and Literature, Thailand and the world,
Heroic Deeds and Major Events in Thai History.
The Thai Life Permanent Exhibition Hall was
officially inaugurated by H.R.H. Princess Maha Chaki Sirindhorn on 30 March 1993.
At present the exhibition sets out to be an ideal source of knowledge outside
the classroom and a key venue where teachers, academis, students and the general
public can take part in cultural activities at all times, with the aim of
instilling pride and a sense of belonging in the nation.
